Respecting the environment and maintaining ecological balances have been the guidelines that led to the building of the new Pomario winery.
Created from the renovation of the former tool shed, this state-of-the-art winery keeps the farmhouse style, and where possible original materials have been recycled.
The Pomario farm is located in the province of Perugia near Monteleone di Orvieto, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, not far from Città della Pieve and 15 minutes drive from Fabro A1 Highway.
Situated 500m above sea level, where Orvieto’s land becomes one with the special climate of the high hills of the Trasimeno lake, Pomario is isolated from the environment by a thick wood that surrounds it and expands until the river Nestore, an affluent of the Tiber.
As well as for the production of high quality wines and extravirgin olive oil, Pomario winery was also conceived and designed to host events and ceremonies.
The two panoramic terraces overlook the woods all around, scenically illuminated by Alberto Biagioli. The terraces, together with the lounge, create a space of 200sm to be summed up to the external squares of about 500sm.
The space outdoor is perfect to set up tensile structures.
Thanks to modern and mobile windows, that can be fully opened, and thanks to the heating system, the panoramic terraces can be used all year round.
The Resting Room and the Wine shop as well are versatile spaces and can be adapted for the occasion.
The professional kitchen of 60sm is well equipped for catering necessities for large numbers.
